ST. PATRICK PARISH
COUNCIL 2007 As representatives of St. Patrick
faith community, the Parish Council is called to discern and communicate through a
collaborative process the needs of the community in order to empower the parish community
to meet those needs. The Parish Councils
ministry is to act in the spirit of the gospel and in the Catholic Christian tradition to
continue to carry on the mission of the church. GOALS FOR THE PARISH COUNCIL The goals of the Parish Council are to: Ø Help to discern the needs of the parish Ø Help to set goals and priorities to respond to the needs Ø Help to discover and utilize new talent in the parish Ø Foster a climate of mutual support and accountability in the parish Ø
Provide members an opportunity to share in
collaborative decision making in a Christian context in the parish. QUALITIES OF A PARISH COUNCIL MEMBER A Council member is: Ø A participating parishioner of St. Patrick Parish Ø One who shows an interest in and ability to work with others Ø One who is able to commit time to attend meetings Ø One who shows a desire to listen, communicate, respond and articulate with parishioners and staff INFORMATION FROM THE
PARISH COUNCIL At the Parish Town Meeting held September 2002, many people expressed a desire for more information on the various parish groups and for more social events within the parish. In response, the Parish Council would like to offer this list of groups and clubs and some upcoming events within the Parish. These groups and events are open to all. More information is available at the Parish office (924-0600) and on the Parish website events page.
